The exhibition of figurative sculptor Sebastian Wojnar represents a significant part of his work from the last two years. Older works representing the development, thinking and world view of the young artist in the period from his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts to the present will also be presented.

 

At the age of 30, after graduating from the academy, Sebastian Wojnar has, in addition to sculpting practice, also several years of experience working in a top automotive design team.

 

During this practice, he worked with the current state-of-the-art world technologies in the field he had mastered. However, his love for sculptures and the sculpting craft brought him back, and in 2022 he founded the SW sculpture studio in Semile, in the historic premises of the 1861 Factory, under his own name. The acquired knowledge, natural creativity and practice combined with the honest sculpting craft, which is his passion, now they give unlimited possibilities in his creation and artistic presentation. He recorded success in sculpture competitions and in the implementation of his first professional commissions.

 

In 2022, he was approached by a national television station and became one of the three main protagonists of the Czech Dream Cottages project on TV Prima, where he was given the opportunity to introduce and present his works during extensive renovations of selected buildings. After the successful first series, further parts of the project are now being prepared.

 

Bringing works of art and art closer to people, reaching the young generation, is one of Sebastian Wojnar's dreams and motives for his work.

 

In his work, he is uncompromising in his approach to the topics and their implementation on which he works. Only if he is in tune with the given stimulus, he can process it.

 

"The main theme of the entire exposition of the exhibition is "faith". Vira is a connecting bridge between two other themes, which are everyday life and family.

 

The central element of the entire exhibition will be the bronze larger-than-life TORSO OF CHRIST VICTORIOUS."

 

The set of portraits "HOSPITAL BOYS" from 2022 and 2023 is a landmark work in the work of Sebastian Wojnar and is an absolutely significant work on the theme of everyday life.

 

The big theme is the family, which captures the author's personal confessions. Portraits of children, sexuality in a relationship, but perhaps family baking of cupcakes.

 

The strong theme of "HOLOCAUST" is connected with the family of the author of the exhibition, which Sebastian Wojnar is processing and working on the realization of the sculptures. He will also present this work for the first time at the exhibition.

 

The exhibition will offer works in plaster or bronze such as busts, torsos, but also an open set of "HAND" sketches or the already mentioned "HOLOCAUST" figures and portraits.

 

"THE TORSO OF MARY MAGDALENE" closes the theme of faith. "THE TORSO OF CHRIST I.",

 

which the author prepared in a limited edition for his anniversary, underlines the concept of the entire exhibition by the sculptor Sebastian Wojnar.

 

The exhibition will be complemented by artistic photographs of the author's works.
